Níl tom glas coilleadh nó lúibín na n-éan,
Thart siar fá Bhaile ‘n Tobar, ná go hÁrrain na Naomh,
Ná gur shúil mé faoi thuirse, ar bharr rúnsearc mo chléibh,
Ag dúil go bhfuighinn a mealladh, agus sháraigh sí mé.

Mo shuí nó mo sheasamh, níl mé chroí slán ,
Istigh ann mo leaba is measa mar a táim,
Oidhreacht na cruinne 'á bhfuighinn-se ar mo láimh,
Go dtabharfainn duit a shearcadh ar an aon phóg amháin.

Tá coim aici níos gille na cleibhreann na n- éan,
Tá an rós ina leaca agus is ró- dheas a béal;
Tá níos fearr na sin aici, umhlaíocht ‘s a méin,
Is é mo thrua gan mé is mo chailín i rúm seal linn féin.

Thug mise cion dithe nuair a bhí mé beag óg,
Níor athraigh m'intinn mór mar atá,
Níor bhfearr liom cúig mhíle punta den ór,
Nó go gcloífinn istigh i m'aignidh sa chaoi is nach mbeinn beo

Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
